ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS COUNCILMAN

  • $60 Million added to our Rainy Day Fund since being Finance Committee Chair and Council President.
  • Initiated the purchase of Body Cameras for the Southfield Police Department.
  • Median Home Values in Southfield Increased by 159%, or tripled, since being on Council.
  • Enacted Ordinance for Fierce, Vicious and Stray Animals.
  • Facilitated $1.2 Million Grant for Local HOA to improve their Living Condition.
  • Initiated a $165 Million Review of all Buildings for Modernization & Americans with Disabilities Compliance.
  • Initiated the first citywide raise in pay for all employees in 2022.
  • Chaired and served on the Northland Committee for the development of the new Northland for 4 years.
  • Initiated meetings with TV stations to tell our Proud Southfield Story.
  • Ordered Active Shooter Training for Council Members
  • Initiated the purchase of computer tablets for all Council Members in 2017.
  • Ordered Robert Rules of Order class for all Council Members in order to have more effective meetings.
